What got you here, will not get you there.

As a visionary (service-based) entrepreneur, while every past experience has built who your company is today ...if you are focused on growth, it’s important to note that 9 out of 10 times, what got you here will not get you there.

Growing involves revisiting your learnings from the past, deeply understanding your ideal customer, and revisioning your company for the future.

How do you start?

“Start with the end in mind” — as stated as HABIT #2 from the infamous Stephen Covey’s book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.

Take some time—-and reflect on these three questions:

1. I don’t care if you are 2 years in business or 15+, answer this question, “What do I want my company to look like when it grows up?”

2. Does my company have a U.N.I.Q.U.E value proposition? What is it? Has it allowed the company to stands out in the marketplace or are we one of the best-kept secrets?

3. Does my company’s public persona/brand represent who we are, what we have done, and what we are striving to become?

Remember, if you are unclear on your vision, expect an unclear path forward.
